My Why

My Why

What I really want people to get out of my blog is the long history of Black and brown people in this world and highlight the good things instead of the pain and struggling that we had to go through. I want people to see the determination and fight instead. I do understand that slavery and the civil rights movement was a crucial part of our history but it’s not the only part of it. In schools around the nation the only black history you are required to learn is slavery and the civil rights movement, but there are many things before those points that we did i just want people to know more than just the pain I want my people to feel celebrated more and felt sorry for less. Because it’s only a small part of our history we have kings, queens, great inventors who shaped the world, politicians and all things alike. I feel it’s important to know more about us than what we learn. It helps you appreciate the struggle to show that even if things seem almost impossible to overcome if you continue to fight you will eventually get through those times and reach a greater point in life. I feel like you would have to be blind to not recognize the Financial struggles and struggles with the law that the black community in America is facing I have seen it personally within my family, but I know what I’m capable of I have seen many other friends or people I know not see that in themselves and end up dead or in jail I feel if you show these kids how great they can be things wouldn’t be so bad. I have seen people like me caught up in the streets and I’m thankful everyday that i never had to turn to that cause I know for some they don’t have many choice, I just want my people to become more so I try to right about people who came from more who look like me and them so they can see that is my why my purpose I do it for my people.
